Présentation de l’auteure Kim Yi-sak

Traductrice et écrivain, Kim Isaak se lance dans sa carrière après le prix que reçoit « Les cannibales de Lao Shanghai » au premier Concours Fantasy urbaine. Son premier roman, « Par une nuit claire », sorti en France, est en cours d’adaptation en série télévisée suite à sa présentation au marché de la propriété intellectuelle du divertissement (E-IP) au Festival international du film de Busan. L’auteure s’intéresse aux récits qui restaurent les voix effacées, à l’histoire, aux femmes, aux forces étranges et aux démons. Elle a participé à des anthologies dont « Sous les yeux fermés », récit épique féminin, « Et nous attirons d’autres fantômes », « Une nuit où vient le fantôme » et « Hurlement du loup sous la lune ».

Fan inconditionnelle des films hongkongais, des séries télévisées chinoises et des chanteurs taïwanais, elle étudie la culture chinoise et les médias à l’université de Sogang pour concilier sa passion et son métier et suit un Master de théâtre chinois. Actuellement elle écrit et traduit des contenus chinois vers le coréen.

About Kim Yi-sak

A translator and novelist, Kim Yi-sak is interested in narratives focusing on restoring voices erased from the past and issues concerning history, women, and the powerless. She began her career by winning the grand prize for her story “The Canninbals of Shanghai” at the first Urban Fantasy Fiction Contest. Her first novel, a historical mystery called Lady Coroner in Joseon was pitched at the Entertainment Intellectual Property Market (E-IP Market) at the Busan International Film Festival, is now being produced as a drama, and is being translated into French. Her work has also appeared in the women writers anthology Under Closed Eyes, as well as the anthologies We Conjure Other Ghosts, The Cannibals of Lao Shanghai, The Night When Ghosts Arrive, The Wailing of Wild Dogs Under Night Clouds, and Eyes Closed Shut.

After becoming a fan of Hong Kong cinema, Chinese drama, and Taiwan singers, she went on to study Chinese Culture and Journalism and Broadcasting at Sogang University. She then pursued a graduate degree in Chinese Drama, also at Sogang University. Along with writing fiction, she currently translates from Chinese to Korean.

About 김이삭

소설가이자 번역가인 김이삭 작가는 제 1회 어반 판타지 공모전에서 『라오상하이의 식인자들』로 우수상을 수상하면서 본격적인 집필을 시작했다. 첫 장편인 역사 미스터리 『한성부, 달 밝은 밤에』는 부산국제영화제 E-IP 마켓 피칭 후 드라마로 제작 중이며, 프랑스에도 출간된 바 있다. 작가는 지워진 목소리를 복원하는 서사를 고민하며, 역사와 여성 그리고 괴력난신에 관심이 많다. 여성서사 앤솔로지『감겨진 눈 아래에』에 참여하였으며, 이외에도『우리가 다른 귀신을 불러오나니』, 『귀신이 오는 밤』, 『야운하시곡』 등의 앤솔로지에 참여하였다.

홍콩 영화와 중국 드라마, 대만 가수를 덕질하다 덕업일치를 위해 대학에 진학했으며 서강대에서 중국문화와 신문방송을, 동 대학원에서는 중국희곡을 전공했다. 지금은 소설집필과 함께 중화권 콘텐츠를 우리말로 옮기는 번역활동도 함께 하고 있다.

Aran, coroner au sein de l’administration de Hansungbu, fait de l’examen des cadavres son métier. Un jour, un incendie ravage la colline de son village où sont retrouvés six corps. En examinant les dépouilles, Ahran pressent qu’il ne s’agit pas d’un simple incendie et se lance à la recherche d’indices pour élucider le mystère.

Les lecteurs découvriront tout au long du parcours d’Aran qui recherche les voix perdues des morts, un enchevêtrement minutieux d’événements sous une description détaillée des relations entre individus de l’époque.

About Lady Coroner in Joseon

One of the jobs of Aran, the Hanseongbu midwife, is to inspect corpses. After a fire breaks out on the village mountain, six corpses are discovered. Based on the condition of the bodies, Aran begins to suspect that it wasn’t a simple fire that caused these victims’ deaths.

One by one as clues help unravel the mystery, Aran’s painful past is revealed and, as tension builds, an unexpected figure appears at the heart of the case. As we follow Aran’s journey uncovering the buried voices of the dead, the expert description of interpersonal relationships and professional interactions of characters that lived during the era make for a unique and captivating read.

About 『한성부, 달 밝은 밤에』

주인공인 한성부 소속 검험 산파 '아란'은, 시신을 검험하는 일을 업으로 삼고 있다. 어느 날 마을의 산에서 화재사건이 발생하고 그 안에서 여섯 구의 시신이 발견되는데, 시신들의 상태를 보아 단순한 화재사건이 아님을 직감한 아란은 시신들을 검험하면서 차례로 이 사건의 단서를 찾아나서게 된다.

죽은 자들의 묻혀버린 목소리를 찾기 위한 아란의 여정 속에서 그 시대 인물관계에 대한 전문적이고 정교한 묘사와 치밀하게 얽힌 사건 관계를 스릴감 있게 즐길 수 있다.
