チョン・ソンラン作家
1993年生まれ。小説家。 動植物が主流になり、人間が非主流になる地球を夢見る。 作家的想像力とは何なのか常に悩み、いつも地球の最期を想像し宇宙のどこかで起こりうることを頭の中に思い描きながら作品を手掛けている。 2019年9月、初の長編小説『崩れた橋』をウェブ小説プラットフォームで連載して作品活動を始め、小説集『ある物質の愛』と『夜に訪れる救援者』を出版し、安楽死の危機に瀕した競走馬とヒューマノイド騎手の触れ合いと人生を綴った長編小説『千個の青』で2019年第4回韓国科学文化賞大賞を受賞した。 再新作に長編小説『ナイン』と2番目の小説集『ノーランド』がある。

Cheon Seonran is a fiction writer born in 1993. She dreams of a world where plants and animals come to power and humans become secondary. Constantly searching for the limits of the writer’s imagination, she always imagines the end of the world and dreams of things happening somewhere else in the universe. She started her writing career in September 2019 with A Broken Bridge, a serialized novel published on a web platform. She also published the short story collections Some Shape of Love and The Savior Who Comes at Night. Her full-length novel A Thousand Blues, which deals with the life and relationship of a broken jockey robot and a racehorse who is waiting for euthanasia, won the grand prize at the 4th Korean Science Literature Award. Her most recent works are the novel Nine and her short story collection Noland.

1993년생. 소설가. 동식물이 주류가 되고 인간이 비주류가 되는 지구를 꿈꾼다. 작가적 상상력에 대한 고민을 늘 안은 채, 언제나 지구의 마지막을 상상하며 우주 어딘가에서 일어나는 일들을 꿈꾸며 작품활동을 한다. 2019년 9월 첫 장편소설 『무너진 다리』를 웹소설 플랫폼에서 연재하며 작품활동을 시작하여 소설집 『어떤 물질의 사랑』과 『밤에 찾아오는 구원자』을 펴냈고, 안락사를 앞둔 경주마와 로봇 기수의 삶과 관계를 다룬 장편소설 『천 개의 파랑 』으로 2019년 제4회 한국과학문학상 대상을 받았다. 최근작으로 장편소설 『나인』과 두 번째 소설집 『노랜드』가 있다.

『千個の青』で、チョン・ソンランさんは、現代社会の問題にふれながら未来に起こりうることを提示している。
下半身が壊れ廃棄が決まったヒューマノイド騎手『コリー』、もう価値がないという理由で安楽死の危機に瀕した競走馬『トゥデイ』、障害を持つ『ウネ』、沈黙で耐えている『ヨンジェ』、夫の死で時間が止まってしまった『ボギョン』らが互いに触れ合って向き合いながらそれぞれの持つ心の傷を癒していく。
「わたしたちはみんな、ゆっくり走る練習が必要だ」と語るチョン・ソンランさんは、傷ついた弱者の物語を描きながら、如何なる存在も排除しない暖かい波浪のように全てを包み込みながら物語を綴って、進歩する技術の中で薄れていく存在をまっすぐ凝視させる。

翻訳家姜芳華紹介

岡山県倉敷市生まれ。翻訳家、翻訳講師。現在、韓国文学翻訳院日本語科などで教える。日訳書にチョン・ソンラン『千個の青』、チョン・ユジョン『七年の夜』、ペク・スリン『夏のヴィラ』、韓訳書に柳美里『JR上野駅公園口』、その他児童書多数。共著に『일본어 번역 스킬（日本語翻訳スキル）』がある。

ギリシャ生まれ。声優・書評家・エッセイスト。2020年9月より、日本SF作家クラブ会⻑。著書に『乙女の読書道』、『最愛台湾ごはん』、『SFのSは、ステキのS』（第48回星雲賞ノンフィクション部門受賞）、『はじめましての中国茶』、『おかえり台湾』(高山羽根子との共著)、『ぜんぶ本の話』(池澤夏樹との共著)、翻訳書に『無垢の歌』『子供の詩の園』(池澤夏樹との共訳)、劉慈欣『火守』など。初の小説作品「オービタル・クリスマス」で第52回星雲賞日本短編部門を受賞。

About 『A Thousand Blues』

In her novel A Thousand Blues, Cheon Seonran captures a problem we face in contemporary society as well as the future. “Collie” the jockey robot who is subject to disposal for having a broken lower body, “Today” the racehorse who is to be euthanized for being worthless, “Eun-hye” who lives with disabilities, “Yeon-jae” who endures her pain in silence, and “Bo-kyeong” whose time has stopped ever since her husband died; all these characters unite together in order to heal their wounds.
Through this novel that represents the weak and injured ones, Cheon Seonran encourages us to practice running slowly, embracing us like a warm blue that doesn’t exclude anyone.
This is a book that makes you stare straight at the beings who fade away in our endless pursuit of advancing technology.

Discussant 강방화

Kang Banghwa was born in Okayama Prefecture, Japan. She is a translator and instructor. Currently she teaches literary translation at the Japanese language department at the Literature Translation Institute of Korea. Her published translations in Japanese include Cheon Seonran's A Thousand Blues (Hayakawa Publishing, 2021), Jeong Yu Jeong's Seven Years of Darkness (Shoshikanskanbou, 2017), and Sou Linne Baik's Summer Villa (Shoshikanskanbou, 2022). She has also published her translation of Miri Yu's Tokyo Ueno Station (Somy Media, 2021) and many children's books in Korean. She is a co-author of Japanese Translation Skills (Nexus, 2011).

Discussant/Moderator 이케자와 하루나

Haruna Ikezawa was born in Greece. She is a voice actress, book reviewer, and essayist. Since September 2020, she has been the chair of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of Japan. She has authored A Girl's Reading Path, My Favorite Taiwanese Food, The S in SF is S for Suteki (cool) (winning the "Best Non-Fiction" award at the 48th Seiun Award Ceremony), Nice to Meet You, Chinese Tea, Welcome to Taiwan (co-authored with Haneko Takayama), and The Story of All Books (co-authored with Natsuki Ikezawa). She has also translated many books which include Song of Innocence, Children's Poetry Garden (co-translated with Natsuki Ikezawa), and Liu Cixin's The Fire Keeper. Her first fiction title, Orbital Christmas, won the 'Best Japanese Short Story' award at the 52nd Seiun Award Ceremony.

About 『천 개의 파랑』

『천 개의 파랑』에서 천선란은 현재 사회문제를 담아내며 미래에 일어날 만한 일을 보여준다.
하반신이 망가져 폐기 대상이 된 기수로봇 '콜리', 가치가 없다는 이유로 안락사 당할 위기에 처한 경주마 '투데이', 장애를 가진 채 사는 '은혜', 침묵으로 버티고 있는 '연재', 남편의 죽음에 시간이 멈춰있는 '보경' 등이 서로 연대하며 자신들의 상처를 치유한다.
우리는 모두 천천히 달리는 연습을 해야 한다고 말하는 천선란은 상처 입고 약한 이들의 서사를 이 책을 통해 담아내며, 그 누구도 배제하지 않는 따뜻한 파랑(波浪)처럼 아우르는 이야기를 한다.

일본 오카야마현에서 태어났다. 번역가, 번역　강사. 현재 한국문학번역원 일본어과 등에서 번역을 가르친다. 일본어로 번역한 책으로 천선란 『천 개의 파랑』, 정유정 『7년의 밤』, 백수린 『여름의 빌라』, 한국어로 번역한 책으로 유미리『도쿄 우에노 스테이션』, 그 외 아동서 다수, 공저로 『일본어 번역 스킬』이 있다.

그리스 출생. 성우, 서평가, 에세이스트. 2020년 9월부터 일본 SF작가　클럽 회장을 맡고있음. 저서로 <소녀의 독서 길(乙女の読書道)>, <최애 대만 밥(最愛台湾ごはん)>, <SF의 S는 스테키(근사함)의 S(SFのSは、ステキのS)>(제48회 세이운상(星雲賞) 논픽션 부문 수상), <처음 뵙겠습니다 중국차(はじめましての中国茶)>, <어서와 대만(おかえり台湾)>(다카야마 하네코와의 공저), <전부 책 이야기(ぜんぶ本の話)>(이케자와 나쓰키와의 공저), 번역서로 <무구의 노래(無垢の歌)>, <어린이의 시의 동산(子供の詩の園)>(이케자와 나츠키와의 공역), 류츠신 <The Fire Keeper(烧火工)> 등이 있다. 첫 소설 작품 <오비탈 크리스마스(オービタル・クリスマス)>로 제52회 세이운상 일본 단편 부문을 수상하였다.
